Click a column heading to sort. Room depth is the shortest room that works; most models track better with more. Check your own room.
Three ways to measure the ball
Radar behind you
Garmin R10, Rapsodo MLM2PRO, FlightScope Mevo, Full Swing KIT and Trackman 4 sit 1.8–3 m (6–10 ft) behind the ball and track its flight. The cheapest way in, and they work outdoors too. But they need the deepest room, and indoor spin often needs special balls or stickers.
Camera beside the ball
SkyTrak, Square Golf, Garmin R50, Foresight GC3 and Uneekor EYE MINI photograph the ball at impact. They get by with about 4 m (13 ft) of depth and measure spin directly. In return they must be moved for left-handers, and they sit in the line of a shank.
In the ceiling
Trackman iO, Uneekor EYE XO2 and XR, Foresight Falcon and ProTee VX hang above the tee. Nothing sits on the floor, and most serve left- and right-handers without moving (for Trackman, the iO DUO). They need the right ceiling height (2.65–3.2 m), a permanent mount and a bigger budget.
Which software works with which launch monitor
“Paid tier” means the maker’s own subscription unlocks it (for example Rapsodo Premium, Foresight+ Gold or Uneekor Pro). Software prices and PC requirements.

How we compare
Room requirements are the maker’s own figures where they exist, otherwise those of large simulator retailers (Carl’s Place, Shop Indoor Golf, PlayBetter). US prices are list prices at the maker or a retailer; Norwegian prices are shop prices via Prisjakt. Everything was checked on October 12, 2026, and many prices are sale prices. Discontinued models are left out of the table.
Frequently asked questions
Which launch monitor is best for a small room?
A camera unit beside the ball, such as Square Golf, SkyTrak ST MAX or Uneekor EYE MINI LITE. They work from about 4 m (13 ft) of depth (SkyTrak from 3.7 m). Radar units need 4.5 m (15 ft) or more.
Do I need a subscription?
Not always. FlightScope Mevo+, FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Square Golf Home, Square Golf Omni, ProTee VX, Voice Caddie SC4 Pro have no required subscription. Rapsodo MLM2PRO, SkyTrak and Trackman need one for most features.
Which launch monitors work with GSPro?
Directly: Garmin Approach R10, Garmin Approach R50, FlightScope Mevo+, FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Full Swing KIT, Square Golf Home, Square Golf Omni, ProTee VX. With the maker’s paid tier: Rapsodo MLM2PRO, Bushnell Launch Pro, Foresight GC3, Foresight GCQuad, Foresight QuadMAX, Foresight Falcon, Uneekor EYE MINI, Uneekor EYE MINI LITE, Uneekor EYE XO2, Uneekor EYE XR. Trackman and SkyTrak have no official GSPro support.
Do launch monitors work for left-handed golfers?
Units behind the ball work for both without moving, and so do most ceiling units (Trackman: the iO DUO; Uneekor does not say for the EYE XR). Camera units beside the ball must be moved to the other side of the mat.
