How we work
What the figures on this site are based on, how we decide what to show, and what we do when something is wrong.
Sources
- Room size and ceiling height: the maker’s manual or website where there is one, otherwise the space guides of large simulator retailers (Carl’s Place, Shop Indoor Golf, PlayBetter).
- Accuracy, strengths and drawbacks: independent reviews such as MyGolfSpy, Plugged In Golf and Projector Central, linked next to each line.
- Subscriptions and software: the makers’ own pages and the software publishers.
- Prices: shop and list prices at makers and retailers, and Norwegian shop prices via Prisjakt, checked on October 12, 2026. Every price carries a date, and prices older than 60 days are flagged and checked again.
What we don’t do
- We have not tested the equipment ourselves and never write as if we had.
- We don’t rank or score. Labels such as “For short rooms” or “No subscription” come from the figures on the model’s page.
- No maker or shop pays to be listed, and none sees our text before it is published.
Rules we work out ourselves
The room calculator, the ceiling page and the planner use rules we put together from the sources. Each page explains its rules: the room calculator, ceiling height and the planner. The planner picks the model that meets most of your wishes and, on a tie, the one with the lowest total. More expensive is not treated as better.
Money
We carry no ads and no partner links today. If we add them, they will be labelled “Advertisement” or “Partner link”, never sit next to the calculators, and never change the order of a table or what the planner picks.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email [email protected] with a link to the page and your source. We fix errors as soon as we can and update the date the figure was checked.
